Welcome! Welcome! I want to give you a big bear hug for finding my little corner of the internet. To say this blog has been a long time coming would be an understatement. I have had it on my heart and mind for so long, and recently found blog post drafts from years ago. Let’s just say God has been nudging, and I have been a little stubborn, alright…a lot stubborn. That stubbornness rooted from a feeling of being unequipped for the task, but over and over God assured me that there were messages He wanted me to share. Recently God turned that nudge into a push and, well, here I am trying to be faithful. I have been praying through the process that God would use this blog as a platform for His truth, and that through it He would be glorified. I am so excited for you to be on this journey with me!
Thriving in Him is a daily goal of mine, but without Christ is unimaginable. It is a lifestyle that is not necessarily the most “in style.” We’ve all heard we are meant to do more than just survive, but to THRIVE. What does thriving in Christ look like? It is about more than Bible Knowledge 101; it is about desperately desiring to know Him deeper, living a life devoted to God and His goodness, and finding your true identity in Him. It is a task that involves constantly looking to be more for Christ but thriving exactly where He has you. Some days I feel like I have a grasp of what this looks like, and other days I feel the complete opposite, but with His outpouring grace that is okay.
Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”
I pray this blog can be of an encouragement to all of you and that one day you can be reading a post and know ‘that’s what God wanted me to hear.’ Lastly, this blog is not about me, it’s a lot of my heart, but it is all about our good Father. Look around, explore, and together we can strive to thrive in HIM.
